Dear 23174600, Neuropathy is very hard to treat. While one can always be optomistic that nerves will heal when blood sugars improve, I haven't seen this happen very much. However, keeping your blood sugars more normal can only help you, so I encourage you to work hard to maintain good blood sugars. Keep you eye on research regarding neuropathy and ask your physician about advances in treating it. Hopefully an effective treatment will be found.

I had pretty bad neuropathy of my left leg and thigh before I was diagnosed, and now, 5 months later after really tight control, it's completely healed. No more numbness, burning, or tingling. I noticed it get better after I started getting good numbers all the time. Hopefully, this will happen to you. Good luck!

I have had very good luck using benfotiamine( fat soluable B ) to repair the damage to help repair the damage. I was diagnosed T2 in Mar 09 and probably had diabetes for 10 years before I found out.
