Dear glad2bhomeco

I would discuss with your healthcare professional the use of this medication. Vicitoza has not been studied in individuals with a history of pancreatitis. And there was more incidents of pancreatitis in user of Victoza than in the other study groups. It has not been studied in individuals using insulin. When a medication is released by the FDA it is under strict guidelines who may use it based on the testing done prior to the release of the medication. Any use outside of those guidelines is considered off label. I would discuss with your healthcare professional what other medication options are available to you.
