"The box for my Aviva meter has an expiration stamp. Do I need to replace it? "

The expiration date on a meter's box refers to the test strip and control solution expiration date and not the expiration date of the meter. Always read the instructions that come with your test strips and control solution to see how long the company recommends using or discarding these items. If unopened, most strips and control solution are good until the expiration date. Once opened, most are good for a 3-month period. Some companies make strips and solutions that last longer.

To be sure about your particular model call the telephone number listed on the back of your meter. This is a toll free help line number where technicians from the company can answer specific questions about specific meters. Good luck.
