Hello,

Thanks for asking dLife. Wow, a new baby! Congratulations!

Different medicines will influence blood glucose levels differently, especially when they are taken by the same person during pregnancy. Frequent blood glucose monitoring will tell you how your body responds to these medicines.

You will need to be stricter in following your meal and exercise plan. Talk with a registered dietitian about how you can acheive and maintain your blood glucose at target range.

Your doctor would also closely track your progress. If lifestyle changes alone cannot maintain target blood glucose, he or she will prescribe diabetes medicines that can be safely taken during pregnancy.
