Thanks for writing dLife. Label reading can often be a challenge and foods generally are made up of a variety of types of ingredients including the carbohydrate portion. On a food label, we see sugars and fibers listed, however "other carbohydrates" refer to sources such as starches and other non- sugary carbohydrates that are present, depending on the specific type of food. This is still considered part of the total carbohydrate content which can be used for meal planning and in some cases medication adjustments.
