Dear Mosierd- Thank-you for contacting dLIfe.com.

Let's take a quick look at what these specific medications do. The glyburide you are on works specifically on the glucose levels from a meal and enhances insulin secretion during a meal. therefore, it has little to do with your fasting glucose levels. Onglyza, a brand new medication on the market will work on your fasting glucose levels as well as help with insulin resistance.

There is room for increasing the dosages of both per your MD only. Often it is not only about the pills one takes. Look at other lifestyle behaviors that may effect your glucose level.

  • Are you sleeping well at night?
  • Are you taking a walk after dinner?
  • Are you eating dinner late?
  • Are you having too much at your snack or not enough?

Take a minute to log your behaviors the evening and night before your fasting glucose and see if you can find some trends, This will lead you to great self management and self care.
