"Does neuropathy affect the fingers? my fingers are numb and cold. Is the medicine the same for fingers and feet?"

Neuropathy is defined as damage to nerves; which can affect any area including the fingers. Treatment is essentialy the same as far as medication goes. Sometimes physical therapy helps, but drugs like gabapenin can be useful. There are also some topical natural products for neuropathy such as Neuragen(R), which can be helpful to calm down the nerve ending in the affected area. Check with your health care team to see what treatment may be best for you.

I have used Neuragen for foot problems, it is very helpful although it has a medicinal smell. It only takes a drop. You can purchase it at drug stores. I have also taken Benfotiamine( lipid soluable B vitaimins ) and this has helped an enormous amount .
