This is a tricky question, having raised a toddler with diabetes. You generally have a higher "acceptable" range for blood sugars in a toddler so as to avoid the danger of hypoglycemia. My son was given a range of 130-150, but your health care team will give you values for your child. This range worked for my son pre and post-meal, and his fastings were kept a bit lower. Children are different in that a doctor will genereally be a bit less stringent until a certain age is reached.

The Dr's and professionals say to keep them around 130-150 but the actual healthy range is between 80-100. However to keep in this range you have to test more often and avoid big sugar loads.
