"are there any risk(spike as example) taking salmon fish oil capsules (1000mg) with the GLICLAZIDE tablets?"

I take salmon fish oil daily with Omega H-3 Capsules too. I am not sure of some spikes reading in my tests if its related to or not. they may be of some foods or quantity of food.

Thanks for writing dLife. Very good question! It is unlikely that spikes in your blood sugar level are related to taking the fish oil capsules, since they and typically small and almost 100% a fat source. You definitely would want to look more closely at other areas that may impact glucose levels such as your food intake, exercise patterns, stress levels and even dose and timing of your medications. If you have had diabetes since 2004, it is important to realize that your body does change with time and this includes blood glucose control. Keep good records of your food intake, exercise patterns, medication, and glucose logs and review this with your physician and registered dietitian/certified diabetes educator for the best advice.
