"Should I send my daughter to school with small ketones?"

My daughter Lilly is 11,had type one since she was 7. She is not feeling well,sore throat,stuffy nose no fever. Woke last night after wetting bed,BS is not real high (261) at 2am, this morning she was 161 at breakfast. Checked for ketones and she had small.

Having raised two boys with diabetes myself, I would say keep her home until you can clear the ketones and make sure her condition doesn't get worse. Good luck!

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO GET ON TEST STUDYS? I HAVE BEEN ON INSULIN FOR OVER 30 YRS, AND STILL HAVE EVERY THING.
