Thank you for bringing your challenge to dLife. One of the long term complications of Diabetes is nerve damage called neuropathy. This can occur in any of the nerves of the body including the nerves that control the movement of the eye. There are various nerves responsible for eye movement but one that comes to mind is the third cranial nerve. Your healthcare team should include an endocrinologist, and an neuro-opthalmologist. These specialists may wait at least six months to see if this condition resolves itself or whether more aggressive treatments are warranted.
