Background Info Hide
My father-in-law who lives in Arkansas just told my husband his insurance will be dropping him at the end of the year because he has spent too much this year treating his diabetis. My father-in-law is on dialysis 3x a week, has had an amputated leg, has had his kidney removed, and is still strugling to keep his diabetis under control. He is certain he will die soon after his insurance stops as he can not afford the treatments. He is retired and on a limited income. We live in NM, how can we help?

Hello elizabeth_butler
Please research what is available for your father in his state by getting in touch with the Medicare/Medicaid office . He may be eligible. Private insurances do have limits of coverage. Dialysis patients are covered by Medicaid. Please read about coverage in this link click here
