Dear wthing897, The dose of glimiperide that you are taking is very small. The blood sugar normally rises at night due to the effect of some of the counter regularatory hormones that we all excrete in our sleep. You may need to have some glimiperide at supper as well as at breakfast. Have you talked to your doctor about your blood sugar readings? The grapefruit is a carb containing food, so it can also raise your blood sugar.

Your dose of meds is very small your are doing remarkably well if thats all your bs go to. I know we all want perfect numbers but we get what we get. If you dont see them coming down in the near future ask your doctor about an increase in meds are you not on metformin yet.
