There are no medical or surgical treatments for fatty liver, but there are some steps you can take that may help prevent or reverse some of the damage. In general, treatment for a fatty liver include:
Talk with a registered dietitian about establishing an individualized meal and exercise plan. He or she can help you control your blood glucose as well as prevent further progression of the fatty liver. With agressive treatment, there may be some reversal of the fatty liver.
