Hello sndwicz
Avandia does list as a side effect of edema in some people. You said that you stopped the medication. I hope this is with the advice of your provider. Never stop any medication without informing your doctor.

Did you start another medication? Are your glucose levels controlled? Any change in how you feel should warrant a trip to see your provider. You may have something going on that is making you lose weight and decreasing your appetite. I am concerned that your glucose levels could be very high. Please see your doctor.
