The Question

I was reading an article about the Americans with Disabilities Act today. I thought it was going to be an article by the American Diabetes Association. Same intitials ADA. There are Federal Laws requiring employers to make reasonable changes in the workplace so disabled people are not denied employment. Have you called a civil liberties lawyer? I would. I had background checks done and had a similar problem issue. As a Lab tech many years before being a nurse,I burned off my fingerprints using nitric acid in my daily lab tech procedures. I worked as a nurse for the Federal Government and was FBI investigated as are all nurses working in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. They not only do finger prints but also whole hand prints. This is what got me through the multiple investigations I needed to clear.
Your employer should be responsible for finding another way of identifying you if you have no fingersprints. Call a lawyer. Call a lawyer listed in your county office. There are Legal advocates that will take on this issue as it interferes with your civil rights.
