"I take 37 units of Levemir every morning. I have been using 0.3cc 30 guage x 5/16 length. I need to inject 2 times. I purchased 50 unit 1/2ml syringes"

Background Info Hide
I am a 61 year old female and I was wondering if these "new" syringes will work so I only need to inject once instead of twice. It is sometimes painful to inject twice. Thank you.

If you take 37 units of insulin at one time each day, you can most certainly take the full 37 units with one injection, using the 1/2 cc or 0.50 cc syringe. The 1/3 or .30 cc syringe has a slightly smaller barrel than the 1/2 cc and the markings are farther apart, which makes it easier to see. You can also purchase 1 cc syringes if your dosage ever increases to amount over 1/2 cc. Enjoy scaling down to one injection per day!
