"I read an article in our local paper , says that some doctors are now suggesting weight loss surgery to those who have Type 2. Is this safe? "

Iam currently 5'4" and weigh 242 lbs. Have been on several diets over the years and with the amount of medication changes, I cannot seem to come out ahead..What is your opinion.
