"What if you give yourself a shot of air only? thinking you have insulin in the syringe? I know air into a vein is dangerous but what if not in vein?"

T1 D.....COPD......on meds for BP.....take two insulins......take Plavix.......have had heart surgery (triple by-pass)......having good management for the last year w/D and bs levels and diet.....

Dear louslips, I don't think it would cause any problems. Next time, remember to check your syringe to be sure you have the right amount and kind of insulin in the syringe before you inject yourself.

I remember my mother always worrying about this. She was blind from high bs episodes back in the 50s and 60s without knowing it. No meters back then and she had a bozo doctor. No air wont do anything to you if injected under the skin or muscle.
