Hello,

Thanks for bringing your question to dLife.

Sorry to hear about your job loss. During these tough economic times, we are challenged by things that we have little control over.

I am worried about your dark discharge after your period. Stressful sitations can result in changes in the menstrual period as well as cause stomach upset. If it does not clear up within a week or two, I recommend that you contact your doctor.

Feelings of depression, sadness and frustration are normal under the circumstances. We may cope by eating more and exercising less. If you find that you are feeling extremely overwhelmed, not sleeping, etc., where your physical and mental health may be compromised, talk with your doctor.

In the mean time, continue to eat healthfully, exercise regularly (great stress-reliever), and take your diabetes medicines, if prescribed. Also, think good thoughts! Things will improve. You want to be ready for it!

Take care.
