Hello,

Thanks for bringing your question to dLife.

Glad that your viral infection has been resolved. Antibiotic medicines are usually prescribed for bacterial infections.

Poorly controlled blood glucose (sugar) levels are known to prolong the recovery of infections. It is important that you work at bringing your blood glucose to target levels. Otherwise, infections will recur more frequently.

I recommend that you talk with your doctor about your concerns. He or she can review your treatment plan.

Agressive treatment to improve blood glucose levels will also help prevent infections from recurring. You need to do what it takes to improve your blood glucose levels. Your health depends on it!

Take care.
