Hello CSRUDY Thank you for contacting dLife . I would suggest a couple of avenues you can take to find out about your coverage with a pre existing condition. First, try to keep coverage by buying COBRA coverage while you wait for your new insurance to start. If your new employer is offering health insurance, call the company and ask questions about coverage for your condition. Ask if there is any waiting period or limitations during any timeframe like the first year. Second, call your state Insurance Commissioner and ask about prexisting conditions and whether insurance carriers must cover you if there was no lapse in insurance. That is why it is important to get the COBRA insurance if there will be and gap in coverage.
