"i have terrible hand pain and arm pain. my dr says its neuropathy but gave me no medecine for it. what kind of meds are available for this?"

all i just got was 900 miligrams of advil and last year he gave me lyrica but i did not like the lyrica. so what do i have to do relieve the pain that does not let me sleep at night. its only at night. i feel like i have cramps in my hands.my arms feel like they fall asleep but they are not.

Dear hitsmix, Thank you for your question. If I were in your situation, I would ask the doctor to discuss with me why he diagnosed the pain and numbness as neuropathy? There are other causes of such pain. Personally, I would like a referral to a neurologist to determine for sure the cause of the problem. There aren't too many drugs used to treat neuropathy. Lyrica is one of the recommended ones. We also try gabapentin or some antitryptilin. A neuologist is the best person to suggest other medications which could help you.

there's a product called Neuragen that works pretty good, it's a little expensive, but follow the direction and use only a few drops and you should get relief.There are ads in the diabetes publications,they have coupon codes you can use on the product web-site, to print out a $5.00 off coupon.
