Background Info Hide
Removed from Lisinopril 5mg once daily. Taking Metformin 500mg twice daily. Blood pressure has gone up very slightly but under control, but noticed sugars are up, 20 to 25 points even after exercise. My morning readings went from avg of 115 to 125 to now 140 to 160. Same with prior to supper, 80 to 90 to now 120 to 130.

Hello sbonner12
Lisinopril is a medicine that lowers your blood pressure but also protects your kidneys. It is a recommended medication to help control blood pressure and support good kidney function. Ask your provider how your kidney function is since stopping the lisinopril. Why did you stop taking it? Did you have side effects or very low blood pressure?
