Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone produced during pregnancy. Researchers studied HCG as a possible weight-loss agent. Results of most studies were not promising. HCG injections were no more effective than were placebos in promoting weight loss.
Today, HCG is primarily used to treat fertility issues.
Talk with a registered dietitian about a meal and exercise plan to help control your weight and blood glucose (sugar) level. Enjoy healthier foods, and include physical activity in your daily routine.
Remember, permanent weight loss takes time and effort. It won't happen overnight, but your efforts will be rewarded.
Take care.
