Dear aonyaleigh, Thank you for writing into dLife. It must be frustrating to you to have your husband ignore the importance of taking care of his health. If blood sugars are not in good control, damage can occur to nerves. This damage can cause a person to lose the sensation of having a low blood sugar. He may be high so much that he really feels normal when his blood sugars are really running quite high. He may need insulin, especially if his blood sugars are quite high, which I am guessing they are. I know it will be hard for you, but you need to have a serious talk with him about his health and get him into see a doctor. He needs medication changes. He probably needs evaluation for possible depression. Good luck and don't give up!

Your husband is playing a very serious game. Damage is being done even if he cant feel or see it yet. I speak from years past of experience it will catch up to him.
