I have not been diagnosed. I see my doctor on wednesday. Diabetes runs in my family as well as hypoglycemia. I also notice that when eating things with high levels of sugars I feel dizzy and sometimes ill.

Dear amandachapman. thank you for your question. I suggest that you tell your doctor your symptoms and let him/her run appropriate tests to determine the cause of the symptoms. Diabetes could be one cause, but there may be other causes. So, don't self diagnose. See your doctor and find out for sure if you have an illness or whether you are fine.

Your symptoms are very similar to what I experienced and hope bloodwork is ordered to determine your glucose level. When that FASTING bloodwork was finally ordered for me it indicated a high glucose level. However, it was not until additional NONFASTING bloodwork was ordered which included an AlC test, I was properly diagnosed. Good luck!! BTW: You indicate on your profile you have been diagnosed /living since 1909, but am guessing that might be the date of the relative you indicated who is diabetic.

To early to say can you test your bs. Most of the symptoms could easily be diabetic related.
