Dear phimer-Thank-you for contacting dLife. Take a minute and look at the label on your creamer. Look at the total carbohydrates per serving. Identify how many servings you are putting in your coffee. You could be unknowingly adding quite a few carbohydrates to your coffee. This in turn will contribute to the rise in your blood sugar two hours after. I would look for a creamer that is low carb.

Consider doing an little experiment. One day just add the creamer and no Splenda and se what your sugar is. The next day just add the Splenda and no creamer. This will give you a clear picture of what is the contributing factor.

Take care and healthy regards for good self management.

I was apart of a research study on coffee and whether it raised blood sugar or not at the University of Virginia many years ago, and the result was; it did not raise blood sugar. I love black coffee and have not noticed that it raises my blood sugar. I test myself 4-8 times per day.
