Hello,

Thanks for bringing your question to dLife.

Coconut flour contains less carbohydrate than all-purpose wheat flour. For each tablespoon, coconut flour contains 3.5 grams of carbohydrate and 30 calories. The all-purpose wheat flour contains 6 grams of carbohydrate and 28.4 calories. Coconut flour contains more fiber and slightly more saturated fat and protein.

My experience with coconut flour is limited to recipes for people who cannot tolerate wheat. The flavor of coconut is considered "strong" for some people, therefore it may not work for all recipes.

The label states: Coconut Flour is a delicious, healthy alternative to wheat and other grain flours. It is very high in fiber, low in digestible carbohydrates, a good source of protein and gluten free. It lends baked goods an incomparably rich texture and a unique, natural sweetness. You can replace up to 20% of the flour called for in a recipe with Coconut Flour, adding an equivalent amount of additional liquid to the recipe.
