"when reading questions and answers BG levels are in eg:140mmol, my meter reads like 5.8 ..i dont know high from low when # are 140 or 225..help pls"

Some countries use the mmol/l versus the mg/dl used in the US. Your meter should have a place in set up to make the change. Call the 1-800# on the back of the meter & someone will help you make the change if you cannot find how to do it.
In the meantime, you can use the conversion of 1 mmol/l is = to 18 mg/100 ml. If your meter reads 5.8 mmol/l x 18 = 104 mg/dl BS. 3.8 -6 mmol/l = 80-120 mg/dl as a general target.
Changing your meter setup will eliminate this confusion.
Also be aware that A1C (average bs test done in the dr office) will also be reported in similiar figures. A1C target is 6.5 -7.0 depending on your physician.

Simply take the 225 and divide by 18 that will give you the reading on your meter.
