Dear DS:
There are many factors that affect blood sugar levels, stress being one of them. One recommendation I can give you is to try to incorporate some type of daily exercise such as walking for 30 minutes, which naturally helps lower blood glucose levels, along with also being a great stress reliever. Also, watch closely the total calories and amount of carbohydrates you eat. Often, improving the way you eat may help lower your blood glucose levels without needing added meds. If regardless of improving your diet and exercising your blood sugars remain elevated, you may need a higher dose of Metformin, either by taking a larger dose, or more than once a day. However, don't adjust your medication without your doctor's approval. Good luck!

I am sure you know stress can raise bs. Are you also eating a low carb diet this helps along with a walking program at least 30 minutes a day. There are other meds to try if those dont work or you could simply up the metformin by asking your doctor its only $4.00 a month at target and walmart.
