"Is Nurtisystem D a good diet for type 2 diabetes. "
Asked By:

Background Info Hide
I'm not trying to loose weight. I have pre diabetes type 2, but I'm under weight. My nutritionist advised me to eat 5 times a day....2 carb choices (30 grams) each time. I'm wondering if Nurtisystem D would be easier for me because going to the grocery store just makes me feel deprived.

Nutrisystem D is designed as a weight loss program so there is a calorie restriction issue in the plan. You can add additional calories with grocery store food - nuts, cottage cheese, skim milk, veggies. It is certainly convenient. They do all the preparation and packaging! A concern I have in your background information - feeling deprived. You can eat what ever you want - the issue is how much, how often and what you have at one time that affects your blood sugar. You may want to make another appointment with your nutritionist to work in those foods that will relieve your feelings of deprivation. This is a life time plan - you want to enjoy yourself and make healthy choices in the process.

Deprived in what way what are you or are you not eating. Your not overweight so eat. You just cant load up with junk carbs they will raise your bs and the goal is to not raise your bs. The idea is to not be controlled by sugar and that is what happens to us over years of eating processed junk truly I know what it did to me.
