I am a fellow psoriasis sufferer so your question interests me. I know of no definitive link between diabetes and psoriasis and I don't believe that anyone has idenified the exact cause of the condition. Some studies have demonstrated a link between psoriasis and vitamin levels. Uncontrolled diabetes causes dry itchy skin which will definitely aggrevate psoriasis. I would guess that you improved diet may have helped your condition if you were not recieving all the vitamins and minerals you need in your old diet. Also, improved glucose control will improve most skin conditions related to dryness and itching. And, consider that most conditions are worsened by stress. As you gained control over your diabetes, this lead to less stress and possibly some improvement in your skin condition. Hope this helps.
