"I have been on insulin injections for about 7 months and i take it 4 times a day. So i was wondering if you think it would be easier to have a pump?"

Well, the pump is more work but can allow for greater flexibility. You need to know how to count carbohydrates and use a correction scale for highs. You need to be motivated and it sounds like you are since you are already asking great questions just 7 months into your diagnosis. You have to test your blood sugar frequently, which should be no different than if you're on injections. I would definitely encourage you to speak to your diabetes doctor and nurse about the transition to pump therapy to see if they feel you're a candidate. There are many great pumps out there so you want to explore all options to see which would fit your lifestyle and needs best. The pump allows advanced features such as temporary basal rates and combo boluses which are very nice features. It's also nice not having to take as many shots since you have to change out infusion set once every 2-3 days. Good luck! I wish you the best with whatever regimen you're on.
