Diagnosis of diabetes is made if fasting blood sugar is 126 mg/dl or more on two different occasions or if the blood sugar is over 200 regardness of the time of the last meal. In glucose tolerance testing, a diagnosis of diabetes is made if the 2-hour after taking glucose measure is 200 or more. Pre-diabetes is diagnosed if the fasting is100 to 125 on two occasions or if the 2-hour after glucose testing is 140-199.. Non-diabetics have fastings less than 100 and 2 hour-after-glucose readings of less than 140. Soon, new tests that represent the past-3-month-blood sugar average will be used to diagnose diabetes. These tests are called HgA1C and Estimated Glucose Average. Normal HgA1C range is 4%-6%.// Most endocrinologists want to see fasting blood sugar averages of less than 110, 2-hour readings of less than 140 and A1C results of less than 6.5%. The American Diabetes Association recommendations are slightly higher. Your fasting and after-meal levels are fine, but you really need to know your A1C or Est. Glucose Average results to make sure you are seeing the big picture regarding your diabetes conrol.// I would guess that your exercise is contributing a lot to your diabetes conrol. Keep up the good work!

If your just going on those two readings alone and no others that would classify you in the prediabetic range. I would kill for numbers like that and I have to use insulin and oral meds.
