She will not give me a calorie number to shoot for, I consume average of 1850 cal a day. When I get the lows I've had aprox 75-80 g carbs from breakfast and morning snack. I noticed that it drops while I am cooking lunch. At first I thought it was hunger from smelling the food cooking anticipating the meal. But checking showed it was a drop. before doseage change my big low was 68, this week lows were 77 & 70. interval the large meals is 4 hr, snack at 2 hrs.

Dear Willibee- You are doing a great job with your slow steady weight loss. I understand you concern about your lows and feeling poorly. I think your carb distribution is quite good. I have a suggestion though. Think about your breakfast and does it have enough carbs that are high in fiber. You want to slow down the release of the carbs to get you to the lunch hour. Evaluate your total fiber for your breakfast and try to increase it. Perhaps a Fiber one cereal or Kashi which is quite complex.

Also you did not mention when you are doing your exercise. Is morning the busiest time of the day? Please continue communicating with your dietician and show her your numbers and share with her how you feel. There may need to be another increase in protein and fat if the additional fiber doesn't work.

Great job staying on track for self management.
