"i'm A T2 ON HUMALOG 3 X DAY , I'M ALSO ON PREDNISONE 20MG. FOREVER FOR ADRENAL INSUFFIENCY, DOES IT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH DIABETES?"

ADRENAL INSUFFIENCY, PREDNISONE, WE CAN GO NO LOWER THAN 20MG. FOR I GO INTO ADRENAL CRISIS.

Dear Tweetypie: Thank you for contacting dLife. Many medications raise blood glucose levels, prednisone being one of them. The fact that you have to take prednisone on a continous basis, will not help your blood glucose levels. The best thing for you to do is take the insulin to help counteract the effect of the prednisone.
