"Help a grandmother help her granddaughter and may be other children"
Asked By: grandmabraun

Background Info Hide
My granddaughter is 8 and we just found out she has type 1 diabetes my question is that she is a very active child. This might sound funny but you can find sox for adults but not children who are more active then some adults. So where can we find them?

Der grandmabraun, There are many types of socks that would be good for your granddaughter. Many people think white cotton socks are good. Have you tried stores like Walmart, Target, or Kohls? Or similar stores. The idea is to have a breathable fabric that keeps the foot from getting sweaty. You don't want a tight elastic top, either. Why there are special socks for adults is that more adults have foot issues such as corns, callouses, dry skin with cracks, lack of sensitivity in their feet, etc. So, don't worry so much about finding the "right" brand or pair of socks.
