Congratulations on lowering your A1c! You did not mention how you were able to lower your blood glucose (sugar) levels.
A little clarification, please. Were you taking the Actos? Or, was it was prescribed after your A1c went down to 7.0?
It the Actos was effective in lowering your blood glucose, you might wish to continue taking it. It's doing its job!
If you notice that your fasting blood glucose levels consistently falls below 80 mg/dL or you start experiencing low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) during the rest of the day, check with your doctor about adjusting your diabetes medicine.
If you have been making lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) without diabetes medicine to control your blood glucose, you might not need it at this time...as long as you continue with the lifestyle changes.
Continue to monitor your blood glucose to determine how well your diabetes is being controlled.
