I have Type 2 Diabetes and I am taking oral meds and insulin once a day. I had Diabetes since 2002.

Dear ftt388, I don't think that your tiredness is necessarily related to you having type 2 diabetes. However, if your blood sugars aren't under control, and are high, it is possible that high blood sugars are causing you to feel tired. You didn't specifiy what your recent blood glucose readings are, so it is hard to make that determination from the information you provided. Be sure to get plenty of sleep. If you are depressed or suffer anxiety, be sure to discuss this with your physician. Many people with chronic illnesses suffer from depression. A symptom of depression is being tired and not enjoying life. Please talk to your physician and be evaluated so the cause of your tiredness can be determined.
