Byetta is indicated for people with diabetes on specified oral diabetes medication. Since the concurrent use of Byetta with insulin has not been studied, it may not be appropriate to add this medicine to your insulin pump therapy.
I sugggest that you talk with your doctor about your concerns. He or she can explore treatment options for weight control with you.
