Hello Haikali
I am very proud of you to be asking questions about improving your physical fitness level. Yoou need to start by seeing your provider that takes care of your diabetes. This may be your primary care doctor or your endocrinologist if you go to one. Ask your doctor if you are healthy enough to start exercising. If your doctor says you are OK to exercise, then start slowly. Work your way up to doing moderate aerobic exercise 30 minutes a day 5 times a week, Also slowly add some weight training a few times a week. I must reinforce starting slowly and building up your strength. Also remember to keep up with your doctor check ups. Get your labs done and see a podiatrist, an ophthalmologist and a dentist at least once a year. Eat good health foods with a variety of fresh vegatables and fresh fruits along with lean meat. Eat complex high fiber carbohydrates like whole grain bread and brown rice. If you put good food into your body and exercise routinely, your strength should improve.
