"Has the insulin patch from Altea Theraputics been approved yet by the FDA and when will it be available ? "

I read that Altea Theraputics has been working on a 12 hour and a 24 hour insulin patch, which will eliminate having to take insulin shots!

Thank-you for contacting dLife in regards to what is new in insulin therapy delivery. According to the most current website release the Altea Therapeutics company is still testing the transdermal patch for insulin.

The company has multiple endeavors to find an improved delivery system for both insulin and exenetide. The media releases state that it is working with a few pharmaceutical companies to identify new forms of delivery.

There was no projected date of release on their products in relation to insulin at this time.
