Dear cdodge@faystonelementary.org Have you checked out the recipes on dLife's diabetic recipes column. If not, I recommend you look through that listing and see if there's any sweet that appeals to you. One nice thing about making your own recipes is that you can use the type of sweetener you prefer. Many of the commercial ones use sugar alcohols in them to replace sugar. Too much sugar alcohol causes gas, GI upset, and diarrhea. If dLife's file doesn't help you, I would suggest looking at cookbooks at your local library or bookstore. You can also "google" the name of the sugar substitute you prefer and they have oodles of recipes using their sweetener.
