Congratulations on a new baby girl! Caring for an infant takes a lot of energy. Often new parents do not get enough restful sleep. They also have extra work that needs to be accomplished in a shorter time frame. This could possibly explain your tireness.
Especially for our Moms who experienced gestational diabetes, we recommend a check up with the doctor about 6 weeks after delivery. Blood glucose (sugar) can also be checked to determine if it has return to normal ranges. Sometimes Moms may have undiagnosed prediabetes or diabetes during pregnancy.
Your history of gestational diabetes, tireness and increased appetite would be good reasons for a doctor's visit. He or she can determine the exact cause of these symptoms. With the correct diagnosis, the most appropriate treatment can be administered.
Take care..
