"I race motorcyles (Enduros) can you tell me what engery bars I can have that will stick with me longer without spicking up my sugar I am type 2 "

I do eat power bars and I know I should'nt but that is the only thing that's helps but sometimes my sugar drops and hardly ever it goes up. I have tested my sugar at one time before working out it has droped 30 points in 20 min's

Dear Woodsrider- Thank-you for contacting dLife. I understand the convenience of energy bars. You might want to give a product called Extend Bar a try. They are a slow release carb bar rather than having the energy effect over 2 hours the release can be over 6-8 hours. You might want to make sure you have a hearty, well balanced protein, fat and carb meal before our activity and then try a bar like this.

You might even consider making your own high energy bars, freeze then and use as needed. I would look for recipes on this sight under Diabetes recipes. You might be able to create a well balanced bar with grains, nuts, dried fruit that will meet your needs. Checking your glucose is a great idea to see what works for you
