"I take 16 units of Lantus at night and 1 unit of novalog 4 times a day before meals. I have available to me 3 unopened, unexpired vials of novalin. "

Is novaline something i could use in place of one of the other medicines or is it completely different. Doctor is out of town at the moment.

Dear seekinghelp, Lantus and novalog are the opposite ends of the insulin chart. Lantus is a 24 hour insulin that provides your basic or basal insulin needs. The novolog is very quick and should be taken with meals. So, if you only have novolog to use, you need to see a doctor before you leave for your trip. Sorry.
