You are doing a great job. It sounds like you embraced the challenge of making life style behaviors and are doing great. The Januvia you are taking is working on helping you drive the A1c down. The Metformin is working on keeping your liver from producing extra glucose and helping utilize your glucose when you are exercising by reducing your insulin resistance.
You did not mention when the glucose of 150 is but that is still well within the range of striving toward the recommended ADA A1c level of 7%.
Your MD will continue the testing every 3 months and will monitor you glucose levels to make any further adjustments needed until you maintain a A1c of 7%. The work you have accomplished so far in such a short time is excellent.
