Depending on what the recipe is you might consider adding a little Splenda to the yogurt or use the vanilla flavored fat free yogurt which is what I use when giving cooking demonstrations in my diabetes education classes. Another option is fat free sour cream.

Dear cloates, Here is another suggestion. Substitute any of the following for 1 cup of plain yogurt:
-- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
-- 1 cup sour cream
-- 1 cup cottage cheese, blended until smooth
Hope this helps you.

Try CARBmaster yogurt. It is found in Kroeger grocery stores. It has only 3 grams of carbrohydrates, 80 calories, 3 grams of sugar and 1.5 grams of fat - no trans fat! I have never been a fan of yogurt. But this is terrific (Don't buy the plain vanilla, though.) My cardiologist recommended this to me.

Try using solid half and half. Consistency of sour cream but much lower in cals. Great as a potato topper or yogurt replacement.
