PVCs are not a normal side effect of oral diabetes medications or insulin. They are generally caused by factors such as cigarettes, coffee, lack of sleep, mild toxic states, and even emotional irritablility. My question to you is do any of your diabetes meds have the potential to cause low blood sugar? If so, I would have you check your blood sugar when you are having the PVCs just to see if the two factors are related. This is because one sign of how blood sugar is anxiety and anxiety may trigger PVCs. If you are experiencing signs of low blood sugar, you need to work with a diabetes educator to find out about the causes, treatment and prevention. Ask your doctor the question you are asking us. If you do not get satifsactory answers, a cardiology consult may be beneficial to you. Good luck.
